Brominated Pools
Twice a week: *Test the Total Bromine & the pH. The total bromine residual for residential pools should be 2-4 ppm. For commercial pools, maintain 4-6 ppm. When testing the pH, use up to five drops of chlorine neutralizer in any home test. This will ensure accurate readings, Bromine can produce a false high pH reading. Maintain 7.4-7.6 ppm pH.*Check the skimmer baskets & empty as needed*Clean the tile or pool water line with surface cleaner.*Skim leaves, insects & other floating debris from the pool.
Weekly: *Brush & Vacuum the pool.*If the pool is commercial and heavily used, shock with Oxidizer according to label instructions.*Add a maintenance algaecide dose of Algaecide according to label instructions.
Every 2 weeks: *If the pool is residential, shock with Oxidizer according to label instructions,
Monthly: *Perform a complete water analysis & follow recommendations for adjustment.
Every 6 weeks: *Chemically clean the filter with Filter Cleaner. *Soak or spray paper cartridges & grids with filter
As needed: *Backwash the filter.*Take out your grids for D.E. filter & hose off.*Keep bromine tablets or sticks replenished in your automatic feeder, floater or skimmer basket to ensure consistent sanitation.
